The ’Västra Skärjen’ lake is very popular among Swedish anglers fishing for rainbow trout. Despite of its popularity it is relatively quiet here. It is allowed to fish from the shore or from a rowing boat which can be rent at a neighbouring kiosk. This kiosk only rents 4 boats; you won’t be in each other’s hair since this lake is rather big. The lake is situated east of Filipstad. A fishing license is required.
We can also take you to a couple of inland lakes, only known among the local population. It concerns places which can hardly be reached by normal car. A four-wheel drive is required.
